The Super 70 is the base Trike which comes complete ready to fit an engine and a wing, we supply two different wings for the Trike, the Spirit 70 wing which is a single surface wing especially designed for use with our Super 70 Trike and  we also have the Touch 70 wing which is a partial  double surface covering some of the underside of the wing and giving a better glide through less drag,

All you need then is an engine and you are complete, we offer a number of options to keep costs low,  you can collect a fully assembled trike and wing from our workshops at the airfield ready to fit your own engine or we can also supply and fit the engine of your choice, we can supply the Moster 185 or the  EOS 150 engine pull start which gives 25.7HP, or the  Corsair black devil engine with 25hp and electric start

Option One: fully assembled trike  with spirit wing   £6250 or Option 2:  Fully assembled trike with engine and Spirit wing from £8495 !!

To safely fly our products it is essential to have the correct training, if you require flight training we  are very lucky at westonzoyland to have Lightflight operating from the airfield owned and run by experienced BMAA instructor Andy Buchan, you can contact Andy through his website www.lightflight.co.uk or on   07850 942096.

The lightest of our range meets the UK SPHG (sub 70 Kg) rules, which is the empty weight of wing, trike with engine and prop including fuel, this is achieved by exceptional engineering design using light weight materials, there is no need for weight reduction by drilling away swaths of essential strength just to meet the regulation.

Our wings are specifically designed for use in powered flight, a standard hang glider wing was never designed for the extra loads that powered flight exerts in certain areas, the wings are designed for max all up weight of 175 kg, this gives a max clip in  weight of 105 kg

We welcome any official or independent checks on the advertised weight of our sub70 trikes, these figures are accurate with the following specification

complete trike with EOS 150 engine and spirit wing, fitting additional equipment that is either essential for the flight of the aircraft or items that change the flight characteristics may increase the weight, meaning that to stay within the parameters of the legislation and of course to ensure the insurance is valid it will be necessary to fly with less fuel.

Recommended Engines:  Black Devil 25 hp.EOS 150 25.7 hp. Black Bull 33 hp. Atom 80 16hp, moster 185

Touch 70 and Spirit 70 are 175 KG`s MAUW.

Touch 70 and Spirit 70 wings with Super 70 trikes are easy to rig, its possible for one person to couple the wing to the trike

Touch 70 and Spirit 70 should not be customised due to the UK SPHG weight rules.

The Sub 70 classification was brought in to allow the previously foot launched powered parachute to be launched using a trike without the need to have a microlight licence, enabling people without the ability to foot launch the same opportunities as those that could, this in turn has led to the rebirth of the ultralight flexwing.

The criteria is that the whole ultralight with fuel must weigh less than 70kg and only be capable of use by one person.

Although you don't need a license to fly a sub 70 trike it is wholly recommended that you have enough training with a qualified instructor so you can safely fly the trike, it is however a legal requirement that you have suitable third party insurance before flying any sub70 aircraft.

Flying a sub70kg trike over the weight limit will invalidate your insurance and may subject you to further investigation by the CAA

These are in effect un-certified aircraft, it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that they have suitable training and insurance before attempting to fly a sub 70 trike, before purchasing our sub 70 trike you will be asked to exonerate Ace-Aviation from any subsequent claims for liability should you attempt to fly without first gaining the necessary training and insurance, it is highly likely that if you attempt any aviation before having the necessary skills it will end in personal injury.
